Augmented reality visual experiences are changing the way people shop... and is a big heads up to anyone selling anything.
In a really informative article put out on the US Chamber of Commerce Good Company Launch Pad, they talked about what is happening NOW and what is coming just around the corner.
It is driven by a "try before you buy" visual experience. Already in use by online companies like Wayfair, it allows prospects to see how something would fit in their home in a visual context. If a chair wouldn't fit well, the experience with the app will show it.
The concept is also moving into the beauty realm. Checking a lipstick against your skin tone is just the tip of the iceberg.
It's an exciting time full of opportunities for retailers who are forward-thinking enough to grab them.
